Gone Country
A friend of a friend enlisted my photography services to take pictures of her two gorgeous horses. They were friendly, gentle and loved the camera! That or, they were too busy trying to get me to pet them to notice the camera. Either way, I had a great evening traipsing around the pasture taking photos of them. Here are some of the photos that came out of last week's shoot.

A Resting Place
A while ago, I asked people to give suggestions of things to photograph. A friend of mine suggested a graveyard. Today I had the opportunity to take him up on his suggestion. Forest Hill Cemetery was one of the first U.S. National Cemeteries established in Wisconsin, and it is just a couple of miles from the heart of downtown Madison. It was created near the time of the civil war, but even prior to that, it served as a resting place-- for Native Americans. There is an effigy mound on the southeast side of the cemetery in the shape of a goose. Unfortunately, photographing this wouldn't do it justice- at least not from any angle I could get. But, I came away from the visit with 28 other photographs and dodged most of the mosquitos too.
